ID-Studienzentrum

Das Feld der Infektiologie ist stetig im Wandel. Für die Behandlung von Infektionserkrankungen werden neuartige Interventionen und Wirkstoffe dringend benötigt. Ziel ist es daher, die klinische Forschung und dafür benötigte Infrastrukturen an der Klinischen Abteilung für Infektiologie und Tropenmedizin bereitzustellen.

Es sollen nach höchsten Qualitätsstandards Studien mit nationalen und internationalen Partnern durchgeführt werden. Unser ID-Studienzentrum verfügt über das entsprechende Know-how und notwendige Ressourcen zur Durchführung von klinischen Studien (akademische Studien, Phase-I-III-Studien). Mit 1.800 Betten und allen Fachdisziplinen bieten das Kepler Universitätsklinikum und die Medizinische Fakultät der Johannes Kepler Universität optimale Voraussetzung für die Rekrutierung von Studienteilnehmerinnen und Studienteilnehmern. Zudem profitiert der Standort durch die Vernetzung mit anderen Krankenhäusern der OÖ Gesundheitsholding in Oberösterreich und die Anbindung an das neu gegründete Ignaz Semmelweis Institut mit Hauptsitz in Wien.

ID Study Center

Infectious diseases is a very dynamic field of interest. For the management of infectious diseases new interventions and drugs are urgently needed. Our aim is to provide clinical research and the required infrastructure at the Division of Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine.

We intend to conduct studies to the highest quality standards in collaboration with national and international partners. Our ID Study Center possesses the necessary expertise and resources for the implementation of clinical trials, including academic studies and Phase I-III trials.

With 1,800 beds and expertise across all medical disciplines, the Kepler University Hospital and the Medical Faculty of Johannes Kepler University provide optimal conditions for the recruitment of study participants. Additionally, the location benefits from networking with other OÖ Gesundheitsholding hospitals in Upper Austria.
